 ☀️New Mercies Every Morning☀️

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 (NIV)

There’s something deeply comforting about the rhythm of a new morning. It’s as if God gently reminds us that yesterday doesn’t have the final word. In the middle of the chaos, weariness, or even regret, this verse speaks hope: we are not consumed. Why? Because His compassion never runs dry.

The writer of Lamentations penned these words in a time of deep sorrow and loss. And yet, in the midst of mourning, he found the courage to declare the faithfulness of God. That’s the beauty of God’s mercy—it doesn’t depend on our strength, our goodness, or our circumstances. It is rooted in His unchanging character.

Maybe yesterday was heavy. Maybe you’re waking up today with questions, pain, or uncertainty. But today is still new. The sun still rose. And that alone is proof of God’s ongoing grace. His mercy wasn’t used up yesterday. It’s freshly poured out today—for you.

Take a breath. Let go of yesterday. Step into today knowing His love is greater than anything that tries to weigh you down.

Lord, thank You for Your never-ending mercy. Help me to walk in the fresh grace You offer me today. Teach my heart to trust Your faithfulness more than my feelings. You are good, even in the waiting. Amen.
